Biography
Ugly Kid Joe formed in California in 1989 and signed to Mercury Records in 1991, releasing their
debut EP As Ugly As They Want to Be later that same year. The EP reached No. 9 on the Billboard
Singles Chart and went multi-platinum (the first EP ever to do so), launching the No. 3 single
"Everything About You." Their 1992 full-length America's Least Wanted reached the Top 30 and
spawned the Top 10 single "Cat's In the Cradle." Following the release of 1995's Menace to
Sobriety Ugly Kid Joe formed their own label, Evilution, and returned in 1996 with Motel California.
